A day dedicated to the environment and underwater photography will take place in Toscolano Maderno on Sunday, June 22, organized by the Deep Explorers Onlus Association, under the guidance of Angelo Modina, in collaboration with the municipality. The event will feature an underwater photography competition, during which dozens of enthusiasts will dive to capture stunning images of the lake’s depths. Each participant will present their three best photographs, which will be judged by industry experts. The awards ceremony will take place at 12:30 PM, recognizing the most significant works.
Alongside the competition, around fifty divers from various cities in Lombardy and Trentino-Alto Adige will participate in an important clean-up of the lakebed, retrieving waste and abandoned materials. The collected items will be placed on waterproof tarps awaiting disposal. Visitors will have the opportunity to admire the images taken by participants along the Zanardelli lakeside in the “Ancora” area, providing a unique chance to learn about the submerged environment and reflect on the importance of preserving lake ecosystems.
