A4 accident between Desenzano and Peschiera: traffic in chaos and delays
In the early afternoon today, an A4 accident caused significant disruptions to traffic between Desenzano and Peschiera, one of the busiest stretches of the motorway. Around 2:00 PM, a violent collision involving several vehicles occurred between the toll booths of Sirmione and Peschiera del Garda in the direction of Venice, blocking traffic for at least five kilometers and creating long queues. The 112 operations center immediately activated emergency protocols in red code, dispatching firefighters, traffic police patrols, and medical rescue vehicles to the scene.
The situation worsened around 3:30 PM when a second accident occurred between Sirmione and Desenzano, leading to further slowdowns in Desenzano with queues reported extending up to seven kilometers even in the direction of Milan. Fortunately, according to current reports, there appear to be no serious injuries in either incident.
