Accident between Sirmione and Desenzano: Morning disruptions on the A4 A serious A4 accident caused significant disruptions to vehicle traffic this morning, Wednesday, June 25. The incident occurred shortly before 7 AM on the highway stretch connecting Sirmione to Desenzano del Garda, heading towards Milan. Two drivers were involved in the accident: a 50-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman, both operating heavy vehicles; fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported.
The prompt intervention of medical personnel from the Regional Emergency Agency (Areu), along with the Fire Brigade of Brescia and technicians from Ats Verona A4, helped restore safety along the affected stretch. However, during the morning, traffic jams of up to 10 kilometers were reported, causing significant delays between the Sommacampagna and Sirmione exits for over an hour.
