An important intervention to upgrade the overflow sewer system has been initiated in Peschiera sul Garda, with a total investment of 273,000 euros from Gardesana Servizi (AGS). The work, taking place on “Lungomincio Bonomi,” aims to protect the environment and comply with current regulations, thereby addressing the requirements of the regional adjustment plan for mixed sewer networks. According to AGS President Angelo Cresco, this project is crucial for the environmental protection of the area.
The works include reshaping the incoming pipeline and installing a new overflow structure equipped with a system for treating water during heavy rainfall events. AGS General Director Carlo Alberto Voi emphasized the importance of collecting suspended solids through an innovative system that will ensure better water quality being discharged into the Mincio River. The completion of the works is expected before the start of summer, thereby improving water management in the area.
