Recent reports of aggressive bears in Valvestino have raised concerns among residents, but the Provincial Police have categorically denied such claims. According to news circulated through social media and chat groups, a bear allegedly attacked two hunting dogs, causing damage to fences and shelters. However, local authorities have confirmed that there is no evidence to support these events, emphasizing that the information being shared does not reflect reality.
Furthermore, the Provincial Police have recorded 61 reports of bear sightings in the Brescia area since the beginning of the spring season, with predatory incidents limited to chicken coops and other domestic animals. The reports also include monitored passages from bear camera traps and tracks left in the snow. The relevant authorities continue to closely monitor the situation to ensure the safety of the community and nature enthusiasts.
