Agnese Bottesi celebrated her 101st birthday last Saturday, surrounded by the love of family and friends at the Riva nursing home. Born in Lundo on July 5, 1924, Agnese has lived a life rich in experiences, from her marriage to Lino Benuzzi in 1948 to her career in various hotels in the area. Her granddaughter Marisa reminisced about how, in her youth, she was cherished for her charm and passion for dancing, while her grandson Andrea described her as a strong woman who faced adversity with a smile.
Having overcome the pandemic twice and dealt with the aftermath of a fall in 2022, Agnese is now cared for by a loving team of caregivers at the facility. During the celebration, she received a bouquet of flowers and a greeting card from the deputy mayor, marking a significant moment for her and for all those who have had the pleasure of knowing her. Despite the losses she has endured over the years, Agnese remains a beloved and active presence in the lives of her four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
