A 28-year-old of Albanian descent has been sentenced to six years and six months in prison following a first-instance trial conducted in abbreviated form for committing acts of sexual violence against a twenty-year-old woman in Toscolano Maderno. The incident occurred last summer, specifically in July, when the man abused the young woman after getting her drunk during a meeting intended for the sale of narcotics. The charges against him also include assault, threats, and the distribution of cocaine.
The public prosecutor had initially sought a harsher sentence of eight years, considering the severity of the actions committed. The ruling marks a significant step in the fight against violence towards women and emphasizes the importance of justice in such cases.
