Alessandro Cirinei triumphs at the ILCA 6 Youth World Championship

Alessandro Cirinei has claimed the title of ILCA 6 Youth World Champion during the World Championship held in San Pedro, California. The young sailor from Fraglia Vela Riva showcased skill and determination, maintaining his lead from the early stages of the competition. Finishing with a margin of over twenty points ahead of his competitors, Cirinei outperformed Croatian Josip Tafra and Argentine Joaquin Galvan, further solidifying his outstanding performance following his victory at the Kiel World Championship.

The event also saw strong placements from other athletes of Fraglia Vela Riva: Claudio Crocco finished thirteenth, while Lorenzo Ghirotti and Mattia Di Lorenzo took the fifteenth and eighteenth positions, respectively. Mauro Berteotti, the team’s Technical Director, praised Cirinei’s strategic approach, highlighting the importance of teamwork in achieving this prestigious result. Andrea Camin, president of Fraglia Vela Riva, emphasized the pride in this sixth consecutive world title and the crucial support from the athletes’ families throughout their competitive journey.
