Alto Garda Park Unveils Tino as New Mascot to Promote Sports Tourism

The Alto Garda Park has chosen its mascot: it is the doll Tino, created by artist Marco Bolla of Salò, with a sporty heart and colors inspired by nature. He has straw-colored hair like the haystacks of Cima Rest, and blue feet like the lake. The name, Tino, also references the territory, being the diminutive of Valvestino. “On May 23rd, we will present our new mascot at the assembly of the Mountain Community, for official adoption — explains president Bruno Faustini —.

Tino will be the ambassador for our territory, and will have a strong vocation for sports.” Behind the choice of the doll, there is a strategic plan to promote sports tourism: “The debut will be on the posters of Gardalonga, these days, where Tino is depicted paddling a bisia. Subsequently — Faustini anticipates — we will also associate his image with mountaineering, sailing, paragliding, mountain biking, and all ecological sports that can be practiced in the Alto Garda Park.”
