Appliances Bonus and Energy Efficiency: Opportunities for Italy

Starting from November 18, 2025, the Appliance Bonus will be launched, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy aimed at encouraging the renewal of household appliances in Italy, facilitating the adoption of more efficient and sustainable products. The associations APPLiA Italia and AIRES Confcommercio express their satisfaction with the upcoming implementation of this measure, emphasizing the importance of a joint communication strategy directed at consumers to promote a mindful use of the bonus and its economic and environmental benefits. The campaign will also include national radio programming on RTL 102.5. The Appliance Bonus not only provides support to a struggling market but also encourages European production, as it is exclusively reserved for products made within the European Union. The initiative is expected to have positive impacts in terms of energy efficiency and circularity, promoting the replacement of outdated appliances with more efficient models. The presidents of the two associations highlighted how this measure could stimulate domestic demand and strengthen the competitiveness of the sector, expressing hope that the Bonus will be refueled over time to become a structural tool for the benefit of consumers and the European industry.
