An important exhibition dedicated to Segantini’s art will take place in Arco, aiming to explore the legacy of the renowned painter Giovanni Segantini and the cult that has developed around his figure. The exhibition, which will open to the public on January 25, 2026, is organized into four thematic sections, beginning with the monumental tributes created after the artist’s death in 1899. Among the highlights will be Segantini’s iconic charcoal and gold self-portrait, which has never been displayed in Arco before, serving as a crucial reference point for his iconography. The exhibition not only celebrates Segantini’s works but also analyzes the influence of his art on subsequent generations of artists. The fourth section will highlight the collaboration with Giovanni Giacometti and Carlo Fornara, two painters who shared significant moments of their careers with him. The event will be open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 AM to 6 PM, until January 25, 2026, while guided tours for groups and schools will be available by reservation from January 26 to February 22.
