On Sunday, September 28, Polpenazze will host an archeotrekking event dedicated to the pile-dwelling site of Lucone, in celebration of the European Heritage Days. The Archaeological Museum of Valle Sabbia has organized the initiative “Walking Through the Past,” a guided walk that will take participants along a naturalistic route lasting approximately two hours. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, and the event will begin at 10:00 AM. Registration is mandatory via an online form. The pile-dwelling site of Lucone, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2011, represents an important testament to the Bronze Age and provides insight into the settlement dynamics of that period. The area, characterized by outcrops of ancient materials, has been the subject of research since the 1960s and houses significant artifacts such as pottery and wooden tools. This archeotrekking offers a unique opportunity to explore local history through nature and cultural heritage. Italian Version
