Arco Carnival Marks 150 Years with Historic Center Celebrations
Arco Carnival celebrates its 150th anniversary with a week of events from February 7 to 15 in the town’s historic center. Organized by Pro Loco di Arco, the festivities include a commemorative medal, a historical book, and over 5,000 expected attendees. The program features 18 free performances across three stages, with highlights such as static parade floats up to six meters tall, a cake cutting of 150 meters, and shows for all ages.
Events include circus acts, live music, cabaret, magic shows, and children’s entertainment, culminating on February 15 with a cake-cutting ceremony and Lucio Gardin’s performance. The carnival has evolved from 19th-century private festivities to modern parades and static installations, with new organizational efforts by Pro Loco di Arco, formed in 2024, involving local associations like Alpini, Scouts, and youth groups.
