The Arco Hospital celebrated its twentieth anniversary on Monday, November 11, marking a significant milestone for a facility that has evolved into a center of excellence, specializing in pulmonology and other areas. The ceremony took place at the Alto Garda and Ledro hospital and was attended by institutional figures such as the provincial health assessor Mario Tonina, the director of social health integration Elena Bravi, and the hospital director Andrea Ziglio, alongside local representatives including the mayor of Arco, Alessandro Betta. During the event, the advancements of the facility and its future prospects were highlighted, emphasizing its strategic role within the provincial hospital network.
Inaugurated in 2004, the hospital has a history that dates back to the 19th century, when Arco became a well-known center for the treatment of respiratory diseases. It currently employs around 420 staff and offers specialized services such as medically assisted procreation and multispecialty surgery, with a total of 114 beds. During the pandemic, it activated over 40 beds for COVID-19 patients. Director Ziglio emphasized the importance of the facility not only for residents but also for tourists, while Tonina announced future legislative developments aimed at further enhancing healthcare services in the area.
