Arco Ring Road Reconstruction Delayed Due to Weather Conditions
Until next Friday, there is no talk of reopening the Arco ring road. Unfortunately, recent bad weather has prevented the responsible company from meeting the scheduled deadlines for the complete reconstruction and paving of the section from the Linfano roundabout to the Caneve roundabout. Between one downpour and another, workers have managed to lay fresh asphalt on one lane.
The other lane is hoped to be ready by the 20th, precisely in five days, always weather permitting. Meanwhile, the closure of the ring road has serious repercussions on traffic circulation, especially since the problem has worsened precisely because of the weather, which has forced many to abandon bicycles and scooters in favor of cars.
Throughout the day, the usual, long, and never-ending queues of vehicles re-form at the Sarca bridge, despite the presence of municipal police who are doing their best to clear them, at least during peak hours. Some even wonder whether it might be possible to reopen the ring road while waiting for the weather conditions to settle permanently.
