Arco Teen Summer Program 2023: Activities, Schedule & Opportunities
The summer of activities for Arco’s teenagers is shaping up to be truly “hot” starting next month of July. For the second consecutive year, the Department of Social Policies has organized a fun event called “R..estate insieme,” a series of games, sports, and learning activities mainly aimed at adolescents from Arco, aged eleven to fourteen, who are dealing with the long summer holidays.
This is a great opportunity both for the young participants and their parents, who, overwhelmed with work, can confidently entrust their children to the care of the project coordinators.
The schedule of events
The calendar of activities planned within “R…estate insieme-2001” is quite full. Essentially, there will be one activity each day for nearly two months, from July 2nd until the end of August.
Mondays will always feature sailing excursions on Lake Garda; Tuesdays will be dedicated to ecological trips to S. Giacomo di Brentonico for an unforgettable day; Wednesdays will include morning tennis matches at the sports field in Via Pomerio, afternoon treasure hunts at the Arboretum in Parco Arciducale, and evening climbs on the artificial free-climbing wall.
Thursdays, after a lot of “work,” will be for relaxing and soaking up the sun at the Parco delle Busatte in Torbole; bringing a hat, packed lunch, and sunscreen is a must.
Friday mornings will be spent swimming at the Prabi pool, while in the afternoons, trips will continue to explore local biotopes (Marocche, Brione, Fiavè), the Arco aqueduct at Cretaccio, and the Caproni forest.
Additionally, some special initiatives are scheduled, such as a horseback riding course (from July 31st to August 3rd at the S. Giorgio riding school), a hip-hop dance class (from July 23rd to 27th at the middle schools in Prabi), computer workshops (in July, from 9th-13th and 23rd-27th), percussion classes in collaboration with the Musical Academy, Tai Chi psycho-motor techniques, and inevitably, a back-to-school preparation session.
“During these activities,” explains Councilor Valerio Costa, “the teens will be accompanied by conscientious objectors and some educators.”
The registration fee for the initiative is 10,000 lire. For more information, contact the office on Via Galas at 0464.583607.
