On the night between Monday and Tuesday, a 30-year-old Italian was arrested in Gavardo after attempting to commit theft at two commercial establishments in the town center. The man had been acting suspiciously and tried to smash the windows of the store “Effetto Serra” using a stone, causing damage but failing to gain entry. His criminal plan was interrupted by the Carabinieri from the Salò Company, who arrived at the scene following reports from residents who had noticed his unusual behavior.
After the failed attempt at the first store, the culprit tried to force the entrance of a nearby bar, but was caught by the military while attempting to break open the door. Arrested in the act on charges of attempted theft, the man is now at the disposal of the judicial authorities for further investigations.
