Three apartment burglars arrested in Brescia, responsible for numerous thefts across Northern Italy. Yesterday afternoon, the Mobile Squad of the Brescia Police Headquarters arrested three Italian citizens, all with prior criminal records, for a series of apartment burglaries that took place in various regions of Northern Italy. The individuals involved—a 40-year-old from La Spezia, a 33-year-old from Tortona, and another 40-year-old from Piacenza—had been under surveillance for some time and were apprehended upon their return to Brescia at a highway checkpoint while they were traveling between Mantova and Cremona.
During the inspection, officers discovered over €24,700 in cash, jewelry valued at approximately €150,000, and burglary tools, including a large screwdriver. It was revealed that on the same day, the trio had committed a burglary in a residence in Ponterra, a district of Sabbioneta (MN), where the owners later identified their recovered belongings. Home searches also led to the seizure of three luxury watches worth a total of around €30,000. The arrested individuals have been charged with residential burglary and taken to jail; furthermore, under the orders of Police Chief Paolo Sartori, preventive measures have been implemented against them, including return bans to Brescia for two members of the gang and a formal warning for the third.
