Arte in Tavola Crafts Week Promotes Land’s Art and Restorations

Discovering talents, reassessing the treasures of our land to enhance the art of restoration. This is the goal of the week of the national congress of the association «Arte in Tavola» which will take place in Desenzano del Garda from October 22 to 25. Yesterday, the initiative was presented at Broletto in the presence of provincial councilors Ermes Buffoli and Giampaolo Mantelli, the national president of «Arte in Tavola», Ezio Campagnola, and representatives of numerous Brescia-based professional associations.

«Arte in Tavola» was founded in Desenzano seven years ago with the aim of providing restaurant and hotel owners a platform for discussion, collaboration, and working together on issues related to the catering industry. It is a national association whose objectives include rediscovering and promoting the culture, history, and traditions of our Regions.

Association activities and programs

The annual members’ assembly will be held this October in Desenzano. The program presented yesterday also includes visits to Sirmione, Gardone Riviera, Franciacorta, and Bassa Bresciana. There will be conferences on the olive oil and wine trolley, the trolley of artisanal bread, local salumi, and cheeses.

«Those who come to the province of Brescia,» explained the Province’s Tourism Councilor, Ermes Buffoli, «aim for relatively short stays. Therefore, it is essential that operators can meet all the needs of an increasingly well-informed tourist, capable of appreciating quality.»

«Since its inception,» said Giampaolo Mantelli, the Agriculture Councilor, «the Cavalli administration has shown a willingness to work synergistically on agriculture and tourism, and this initiative is moving in the right direction.»
