A theft attempt occurred on August 14 at a supermarket in Sirmione, where a 45-year-old man tried to steal merchandise. Surprising the security staff, the individual reacted with violence in an attempt to escape, striking a security guard and causing moments of panic among the customers present. Despite his quick getaway before the arrival of the carabinieri, an investigation was immediately initiated.
Thanks to the analysis of video recordings and comparisons with several testimonies collected at the scene, the authorities were able to identify the suspect. The 45-year-old was subsequently reported at large on charges of attempted improper robbery.
