Austrian Motorcyclist in Arco Fined, Bike Seized After Abrupt Maneuver

An Austrian motorcyclist identified as Manfred from Linz, touring Arco, was stopped by local police after moving his motorcycle about ten meters from the bicycle lane into the two-wheel parking area. The intervention, with sirens activated, resulted in an €86 fine and an administrative seizure of the motorcycle for two months, with release expected on July 8.

According to testimony, the rider dismounted without a helmet while attempting to reach the proper parking spot. The administrative procedure lasted about two hours, during which a junior officer made repeated calls to the relevant offices, while bar staff and customers nearby watched. The rider has returned to Austria and the vehicle remains in custody in Italy until the indicated release date.
