Awards for Brescia Running Friends in Puegnago: mountain running and successes 2023
The Gruppo Amici Podisti Bresciani has announced the selection of the best athletes of the year, in an event scheduled for January 10, 2026, at Villa Galnica in Puegnago. This group, active since 2014 and growing from 4,166 to 4,462 members in the past year, celebrates the achievements of its members across various running disciplines, from road running to trail running and mountain running. Nine men and nine women will be awarded, with a jury of industry experts selecting three winners from each gender.
Among the nominees are notable names such as Stefano Goffi and Monica Vagni. Additionally, two special awards will be presented: one to Osvaldo Faustini for his milestone of 40 years since winning the Italian marathon title, and the other to Sara Bottarelli, the newly crowned Italian half marathon champion. The event coincides with the awards ceremony for the Gran Prix Felter Costantino and the presentation of the Hinterland Gardesano calendar, making this occasion a significant moment of celebration for running enthusiasts in the region.
