Baldo-Garda Conservation Areas: EU Funding & Community Importance

The Legambiente circle «Il Tasso» is organizing an evening meeting at 9:00 PM in the civic hall (former courthouse) on the topic: «Sites of Community Importance in the Baldo-Garda Area».

These are areas of particular environmental significance with specific regulations regarding their preservation and enhancement. The discussion will feature Paola Modena and the provincial president of Legambiente Michele Bertucco.

Conservation zones and European funding

In Veneto, there are 160 special conservation areas to be protected, maintained, and restored. For the implementation of action projects, the European Union has allocated approximately 800 billion lire.

Among the 160 sites submitted by the Veneto Region to the Ministry are, among others, Lake Frassino, Mount Luppia, Punta San Vigilio, Val dei Molini, the Sengie of Marciaga, Garda Fortress, Basso Garda, and the zones of the Baldo relating to Pale- Selva Pezzi, Navene oak grove, Cima Pozzette- Naole Costabella.
