In preparation for New Year’s Eve 2024, the Municipality of Salò has issued an ordinance that establishes a temporary ban on the introduction of glass bottles, cans, and other similar containers in the historic center. This ban will be in effect from 2:00 PM on December 31 until 7:00 AM on January 1, and it also applies to the use of firecrackers, fireworks, and pepper spray, with the aim of ensuring safety during the celebrations.

Drinks consumed in establishments must be served exclusively in plastic or paper cups. Those who violate these regulations will be subject to an administrative fine of 300 euros. The initiative aims to prevent accidents and maintain a safe festive environment for all participants.
