Bardolino Boosts Security with Expanded Office and New Surveillance System

Bardolino’s local police, based in via Leopardi, reports significant operational improvements and plans for expansion. The municipality is planning a 70-square-meter extension to the police station, with funding and scheduling underway. The current force includes nine full-time officers, four seasonal agents, two administrative staff, two parking inspectors, and two private security operators.

In addition, the first phase of a new urban surveillance system has been completed, installing 77 cameras and 13 license plate readers across strategic locations such as squares, lakeside areas, parks, and schools. The municipality and police are hosting a seminar titled “Urban Surveillance: Devices and Photo Traps” on March 4, 2026, to discuss these technological initiatives, limited to 60 participants.
