The Municipality of Bardolino has launched an important public lighting project, with an investment exceeding 150,000 euros for the revamping of lighting fixtures. The initiative, which involves the replacement of over 200 outdated lamps throughout the area, including the districts of Calmasino and Cisano, aims to enhance road safety by also restoring several light poles that were damaged in previous years. Additionally, an extra expenditure of approximately 250,000 euros has been approved to extend lighting in various areas, such as via Strada Gardesana and via Val di Gazo.
Mayor Daniele Bertasi emphasized the importance of the initiative not only to ensure greater safety and order in the territory but also to reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs. With the installation of new, more efficient LED lamps, an energy saving equivalent to the annual consumption of about 50 households is expected, along with a reduction in CO₂ emissions estimated at 26 tons per year. This project represents a significant step towards environmental sustainability and energy efficiency for the municipality.
