On Sunday, February 23, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, at the Sala della Disciplina in Bardolino, Senator Stefania Craxi will present her book “In the Shadow of History: My Life Between Politics and Affection” (Piemme), a work that explores her relationship with her father Bettino Craxi, who passed away 25 years ago. The cultural event will feature a dialogue with journalist Stefano Joppi, along with opening remarks from the mayor of Bardolino, Daniele Bertasi, and the president of Ags Servizi, Angelo Cresco. The evening will begin with a screening of the documentary “The Night of Sigonella,” followed by the book presentation.
In her memoir, Stefania Craxi offers an intimate look at her life and the political legacy left by her father. She shares personal experiences and anecdotes that reflect not only Bettino’s character as a charismatic politician but also the socio-political changes in contemporary Italy. Through her words, a narrative rich in emotions and reflections on a crucial historical period emerges, intertwining personal and collective memory. Admission to the event is free, providing an opportunity for all interested parties to participate in this significant cultural initiative.
