Basso Garda Mayor Seeks Update on Strategic High-Speed Rail Station
A regional politician has submitted an official inquiry regarding the high-speed rail station planned for Basso Garda, a strategic node for Italy’s high-speed network. The inquiry, led by Fratelli d’Italia’s Diego Invernici, references regional developments since 2015 and a January 2025 council resolution, seeking clarity on the project’s progress and timelines.
Invernici’s questions focus on the feasibility study conducted by RFI and the Ministry, actions taken by Lombardy’s regional government, an updated implementation schedule, and funding strategies. He also requests detailed information on how the high-speed line will integrate with existing rail services and road mobility, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the current train services that serve 78 daily trains in the area.
