BCC Garda Reports Strong Growth and New Branch Opening in 2001
The Banca di Credito Cooperativo Colli Morenici del Garda, continuously growing, rewards the Group’s growth strategy in synergy with the territory. The Banca di Credito Cooperativo Colli Morenici del Garda (BCC del Garda) closes the first semester of 2001 with more than positive results, thus confirming the economic vitality of the banking institution presided over by Avv. Alessandro Azzi, former President of Federcasse, and directed by General Director Massimo Campanardi.
Economic results and new branch openings
The figures validate the strategy adopted by the Montichiari Headquarters, which in recent years has operated on the territory through a widespread network of 22 branches, offering increasingly integrated banking services that are closer to local social, cultural, and economic realities. In this context, the inauguration of the Padenghe sul Garda branch is scheduled for 5:30 PM on Sunday, October 7, 2001, in the presence of local authorities and the Bank’s Board of Directors.
In the first half of 2001, the direct deposits of the BCC del Garda reached 897 billion lire, a 21% increase compared to the same period last year, while indirect deposits fell by 7%, from 641.4 billion lire as of June 30, 2000, to 594.7 billion this year. The decline is entirely attributable to the sharp drop in financial instrument prices held by clients.
Financial performance and social analysis
The positive trend of the company is further confirmed by the increase in net profit, which rose from 3.7 billion lire in the first half of 2000 to 6.3 billion this year, a growth rate of 70%. The growth in direct deposits has continued into the first part of the second semester, now reaching 950 billion lire.
Furthermore, the data from the Social Balance Sheet of 2000 are noteworthy, showing a 5.8% increase in members compared to the same document in 1999, and a 12.5% rise in members under 35 years old, an essential component for the development and future of BCC del Garda. The entrepreneurial data also records significant growth: +32.5% over the last three years and +13.5% in 2000.
Strategy and values
Hence, the strategy of the BCC del Garda is far from being accidental; it aligns with the mission reaffirmed by the Charter of Values of Credit Cooperativo, supporting a durable alliance with the territory to promote and develop local communities. The awareness is that Cooperative Credit, and thus BCC del Garda, originates from economic entities largely composed of small and medium-sized enterprises, which are the driving force of the entire economic sector, not only locally but also nationally.
It is a pact that affirms the territory and its peculiarities as an essential heritage of BCC del Garda’s identity, where ethics and finance represent a concrete model consistently pursued.
