Gardone Riviera: Cleaned Waters and Beaches from Car Tires, Ferrous Materials, and Waste. On June 6, 2025, dozens of volunteers came together to clean the beach at the Casino, as part of the initiative “Clean Waters and Clean Beaches,” which involved 42 locations across 19 Italian regions in celebration of World Environment Day. Antonio Frassine, president of Fipsas Brescia, emphasized the significance of the event, highlighting the value of the beach, which has proudly held the Blue Flag for 15 years.
From 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, twenty-eight members from the Jurassic Club, Tritone, and Sub Club collaborated with the Coast Guard and Civil Protection to clean the adjacent waters. During the activity, numerous items were recovered, including car tires used as fenders and various ferrous materials. A “ghost net,” an abandoned fishing gear that poses a threat to lake fauna by trapping fish and other aquatic organisms, was also removed.
