Inaugurated last Saturday at the Archaeological Civic Museum of Manerba, the photographic exhibition by Attilio Giorgio Mutti, titled “Benacus Mater,” offers a captivating visual journey through the beauties of the lower Garda and the morainic hills. The exhibition will be open for visits until January 12th.

Mutti’s photographs, which have previously appeared in prestigious publications such as “Bell’Italia,” “A.B.,” “Oasis,” “Gardenia,” “Giornale di Brescia,” and “Corriere della Sera,” capture the essence of a landscape shaped by glaciers, providing an intimate and profound glimpse into its breathtaking beauty. Among his works is “La pietra e l’acqua,” a wonderful book entirely dedicated to the Natural Reserve of Manerba, the images of which are projected in a room adjacent to the exhibition, creating an even more immersive experience.

The very location of the exhibition adds further value to the experience. Situated on the first floor of the museum, visitors can enjoy a dual perspective: on one side, the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Romantica; on the other, the photographic exhibition that takes them on a journey through the surrounding landscapes, born from the same natural force.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy by the administration of Manerba, as highlighted by Councilor Somensini and Councilor Bertini, aimed at promoting the lake park and the Natural Reserve of Rocca and Sasso, considered a true “natural balcony on beauty.” Simultaneously, the administration seeks to foster a culture of environmental respect through various forms of art. This exhibition represents the first in a series of events moving in this direction, emphasizing the municipality’s concrete commitment to enhancing the territory and raising environmental awareness. Among these events is also an exhibition of paintings created specifically by Athos Faccincani.
