Blessed Benedetta Bianchi Porro will be presented as a model during the Jubilee for the Sick, scheduled to take place in Rome in 2025. This news was announced by the parish priest of Dovadola, her hometown, emphasizing the significance of recognizing her sanctity. The presentation will occur from April 5 to 6 in the jubilee churches of the capital, with the participation of Don Andrea Vena and her sister Emanuela Bianchi Porro. During the event, prayer cards dedicated to the Blessed will also be distributed.
Additionally, the University of Bologna has decided to dedicate a training course in her memory, while a Spirituality Center for visitors and pilgrims has been inaugurated in Dovadola. Benedetta Bianchi Porro, born in 1936 in Dovadola and having lived in Sirmione until her death in 1964, was declared Blessed in 2019 after a lengthy canonical process.
