Beware of Impersonators: Carabinieri Scam Calls in Garda Area

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not soldiers, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the urban police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
