Beware of Scammers Impersonating Carabinieri in Garda Region

They break into Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda region, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or municipal police Department.

Recognizing the scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those that have nothing to do with the law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real Carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as there is a suspicion that you have been targeted by someone who,

if they have money, disappears and is no longer visible.
