The photography competition BeyondSnow will take place in Lecco and offers an important opportunity for photographers of all skill levels to explore and document climate change in the alpine regions. Participants are invited to submit their works in three categories: “Beyond Snow and Skiing,” “Sustainable Adaptation to Climate Change,” and “Pilot Areas of the BeyondSnow Project.” Photos must be taken between December 7, 2024, and February 28, 2025, with a submission deadline set for March 2, 2025.
The competition aims to highlight the beauty of the mountains beyond traditional winter activities, while also showcasing innovative solutions adopted by mountain communities to address environmental challenges. Prizes include Interrail passes, photography equipment, and stays at restaurants and hotels in the alpine areas involved in the project. This event not only celebrates photography but also promotes awareness of sustainability in the alpine environment.
