Bicycle-Pedestrian Path Trento-Riva del Garda: Updates and Necessary Funding
The Autonomous Province of Trento is actively working to complete the pedestrian and cycling connection that will link Riva del Garda to Trento through the development of the Trento cycle path. During a recent event in Terlago, President Maurizio Fugatti reaffirmed the Administration’s commitment to improving road safety and accessibility for cyclists along the Valle dei Laghi. A budget of 4.4 million euros has been allocated for the stretch from Trento to the Sardagna junction, while a broader project aimed at connecting the Sarche area and completing the route to Riva del Garda is currently under study. In particular, the section from Padergnone to Castel Toblino is deemed crucial for enhancing access to the Lakes Cycle Route, with an estimated cost of 5.25 million euros. The project also includes the construction of a natural tunnel along the stretch from Sardagna to Cadine, with a planned investment of approximately 20 million euros. These initiatives represent significant steps toward creating a safe and efficient pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, thereby promoting sustainable tourism in the region. Italian Version
