An important talk show titled “Biodiversity and People” will take place on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Apicultural Oasis of Garda in Desenzano del Garda, in celebration of World Food Safety Day. The event will feature Nicola Iacopelli, CEO of BEE IT, as the speaker, interviewed by Raffaella Visconti, director of Dipende Giornale del Garda. Admission is free, and a guided tour of the botanical park is scheduled to follow the meeting. This talk is part of the 9th edition of the “Sustainability Festival on Lake Garda,” an annual initiative dedicated to promoting sustainable events that encourage ecological transition in the surrounding areas.
During the talk, Iacopelli will discuss the importance of biodiversity and present the “Save The Bees” project, aimed at raising public awareness about the protection of bees through the establishment of apicultural oases in various regions of Italy. BEE IT stands out for its initiatives focused on environmental regeneration and the installation of new bee colonies, funding its efforts through the sale of eco-sustainable products. The morning will conclude with a free visit to the newly created bee oasis, providing participants with the opportunity to delve deeper into the topics discussed and discover the significance of pollinators in our ecosystem.
