Biteg 2023: Food and Wine Tourism Fair Shows Regional and International Offers
Again this year, Biteg, the fourth Food and Wine Tourism Fair scheduled at Palafiere di Riva from May 11 to 13, will be the most comprehensive showcase to discover the tourism offers of many Italian and international regions, viewed through the proposals of structured food and wine products promoted by Regions, Provinces, Municipalities, agro-food consortia for local product production and protection, tourism promotion consortia, associations of Agritourism and industry groups, Unions and Chambers of Commerce, Tourism Promotion Companies.
Many appointments and themed events are reserved for the Italian and foreign public as well as professional operators: events that will make Riva a crossroads of food and wine tourism. Here are some. The presentation of the Isola del Gusto: a dedicated space to explore themed tourism offers and the latest editorial news relating to food and wine tourism (guides, taste itineraries, etc.), naturally paired with tastings of local products.
The daytime and evening (candlelit) cruise on the Gusto Trentino boat, an early 20th-century paddle steamer, which, touching Riva, Malcesine, and Limone, will take guests on a journey through Trentino cuisine served on board, during navigation, by the best Trentino restaurateurs awarded a Michelin star and by five high-altitude European restaurants.
Taste itinerary tastings: an event showcasing Italian and international food and wine delicacies that already enjoyed great success among the public last year, with over 40 daily appointments.
The local products showcase: an area dedicated to sampling and purchasing a piece of the excellence encountered at the stands.
Two workshops between foreign and Italian demand and Italian and foreign supply: a business meeting exclusively accredited by Enit on international tourist markets. An opportunity to network and conduct business in the food and wine tourism sector.

A close collaboration has also been initiated with the Touring Club Italiano for targeted initiatives aimed at half a million members. Included in the 2001 membership pack, in fact, is Biteg 2001 with a personalized bookmark, which, when handed at the event entrance, grants the right to a nice souvenir.
