Blubel Crew Wins Tirlindana Day Fishing Contest on Garda Lake

The Blubel crew, composed of Alberto Rania, Dario Mimiola, and Italo Meneghelli, participated in the third “Tirlindana Day,” a boat-based trolling fishing competition held on Sunday, September 17, in the waters of Trentino Garda.

The three new champions of this ancient fishing specialty won the highly important contest, organized by the “Amici della Tirlindana”. They caught a fine pike, three roaches, and a perch. An abundant catch that allowed the Blubel crew to score a total of 4,590 points, surpassing, in the final standings, the formidable Tosi and Bertera from Limone, the reigning champions of Tirlindana Day.

Awards and Participants

In third place, instead, was the team of Scoz and Cernini. After the awards ceremony, all participants (the boats involved in the event numbered 19 — three from Limone — with a total of 44 fishermen) were offered, as usual, a delicious snack based on pike in sauce and toasted polenta, superbly prepared by the legendary “Memmo” — alias Franco Lutteri, a seasoned fisherman — and washed down with a fine, fresh wine.

This time as well, the management of the “Amici della Tirlindana” extends their thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
