Bocce Match in Montichiari: Sept. 4 Showdown Between City Officials

A bocce tournament between Montichiari municipal administrators is set for Friday, 4 September 2026, at 8:00 pm at the outdoor Bocciodromo on via Molino di Mezzo. The event, organized by the local Bocciofila club, is a late-summer appointment that has been held for nearly 30 years and involves the mayor, assessors, and city councilors.

Matches will be played in mixed pairs, formed through a draw before the start of the evening, bringing together members of the majority and the opposition. Last year’s winners were the pair of Davide Tiraboschi (assessor for Education and Youth Policies) and Federico Migliorati, who joined the competition after a sudden withdrawal by a political representative; second place went to Roberto De Angeli (majority) and Alessia Di Pietro (opposition).

Prizes will be awarded to winners and participants, supported by volunteers from the association led by Giuseppe Romano. Entry is free; in case of bad weather, the tournament will move to the covered Bocciodromo “Renzo Cuelli” on via Trieste.
