A 68-year-old sport fisherman was found dead in Lake Garda, specifically in Castelletto di Brenzone, on the Veronese shore. The discovery of the body occurred on September 20, 2024, after some of his clothing and fishing rod had been found. Fire department divers, supported by the Bardolino water rescue team and aerial units, recovered the body from a depth of about 3 meters.

The search operations also involved the Coast Guard of Lake Garda. The Carabinieri were called to the scene to initiate the necessary investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident, while the public prosecutor was informed to follow the procedures required in such cases.
