Bookings for September and October on Lake Garda already pushing past 2025

Bookings for September and October on Lake Garda are already higher than at the same point last year, reaching 61.6% as of 2 September versus 60.5% in 2025. The Upper Lake area stands at 61.8% (up 2.4 points year-on-year), while the Lower Lake is at 61.5% (up 0.7 points). The figures come from reports processed by HBenchmark and Mastercard for the Destination Verona & Garda Foundation.

Event calendars are helping drive demand: during the Festa dell’Uva period, pre-acquired occupancy is 57.6%, compared with 56.5% at the same date last year. Destination Verona & Garda Foundation president Paolo Artelio said the comparison should be made “at the same date,” noting that September and October are still open and part of demand is arriving late, but that the destination is working to reduce the gap between peak season and the rest of the year. In the following two months, pre-acquired occupancy has risen by more than 3 points on Garda and by 5.7 points in Verona over the last 15 days.

In Verona’s wider area, pre-acquired occupancy for September and October is 55.5%, rising to 59.8% in the municipality (52.1% and 58.6% respectively a year earlier). In the Marmomac week (19–26 September), pre-acquired occupancy reaches 70%, roughly in line with 69.6% last year, reinforcing the role of events in shifting demand across the calendar. Hotel industry representatives said August performed strongly and that September—and prospects for October—remain encouraging, with the shared goal of “balanced growth” and better distribution of tourist flows over time.
