Visit Brescia has recently embarked on a mission to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to promote tourism in the Middle East and attract visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. President Eugenio Massetti, along with Director Graziano Pennacchio and Vice President Andrea Mattia Maggioni, participated in meetings with local tour operators to explore business opportunities and strengthen tourism ties. During the networking event, eight sellers from Brescia interacted with Saudi buyers, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador Carlo Baldocci, underscoring the importance of tourism cooperation between Italy and Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia represents a key market for Brescia’s tourism due to its large and high-spending population; it is estimated that around 16.8 million potential tourists could generate spending of $46.82 billion. The mission is part of a broader strategy to de-seasonalize Italian tourism and attract visitors year-round. Data already shows a significant increase in Saudi visitors to Italy, highlighting the growing interest in the province of Brescia as a preferred tourist destination. Italian Version
