A group of pharmacists from Brescia has recently established Pink Charity, an association dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer. This initiative emerged following the success of the three editions of the annual Pink Charity event, which has already raised funds for local projects related to the prevention and treatment of this disease. On April 16, in the assembly hall of Cef-Federfarma in Brescia, the funds collected last autumn were handed over to the Breast Unit of Asst Spedali Civili, represented by the head physician, Rebecca Pedersini.
The association, led by president Roberta Rossi alongside Linda Pasini and Francesco Ferretti, aims to promote awareness activities regarding the importance of physical activity and nutrition in the healing process for women who have undergone breast surgery. With strong interest shown by various local entities, Pink Charity seeks not only to raise funds but also to create synergies within the community to expand its scope of action in the future. The regional councilor Simona Tironi, the patron of the initiative, was also present at the ceremony.
