Brescia Authorities Probe Tax Credit Fraud in 110% Superbonus Seizures
A fraud scheme related to the Superbonus 110% has been uncovered by the Guardia di Finanza in Brescia, involving fake tax credits linked to unperformed or incomplete building work. The investigation, coordinated by the Brescia Public Prosecutor’s Office, resulted in urgent seizures exceeding €3.5 million after anomalies were identified in the generation and transfer of tax credits.
The probe revealed the creation and circulation of fictitious credits through a company acting as a general contractor, with €1.6 million seized from company and cessionary accounts. Further investigations into documents and digital devices linked to 12 condominiums across Napoli, Frosinone, Messina, and Brescia led to additional seizures of €1.9 million and property restrictions in Rome and Palermo. Five individuals are under investigation for fraud and money laundering, with legal proceedings ongoing.
