Brescia Hosts Key Mediterranean Forum on International Cooperation and Sustainable Development
Brescia University is set to host the international conference “MED 2026: Connecting the Three Shores, Unlocking Service” on April 17, 2026, focusing on cross-border cooperation and strategic challenges in the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions. Organized by the Permanent Forum of the Mediterranean and Black Sea in collaboration with Lions International, the event aims to foster multidisciplinary dialogue on urban regeneration, energy transition, and regional development near Lake Garda.
The conference will feature sessions on Mediterranean city identity, environmental policies, energy geopolitics, and digital transformation. Key topics include the role of architecture in regional identity, the impact of the Mattei Plan on Africa-Europe relations, and the application of AI for social good. The event will conclude with a roundtable, awards for outstanding contributions to youth, and plans for a dedicated online platform and future foundation.
