Brescia Provincial Police Roll Out Software to Monitor Heavy Vehicles
The Brescia Provincial Police have acquired and deployed a new software tool for heavy-vehicle control to monitor the compliance of trucks on provincial roads. The system enables real-time checks of driving and rest times via digital tachographs, flags tachograph alterations, and assesses the technical-documentary regularity of international transports.
Officials presented the technology with road-safety and fair-competition objectives. Daniele Mannatrizio, the Safety and Provincial Police Delegate, called the purchase a modernization step funded by new resources, while Commander Dario Saleri stressed that the investment aims to sanction irregularities and prevent incidents on provincial arteries, with the equipment already issued to frontline staff.
