A charity lunch will take place in Polpenazze on Sunday, December 1st at 12:30 PM, organized by the local Alpini group to support the restoration of the crucifix in the parish church. The event will feature a typical Brescia menu that includes spiedo, minestra sporca, polenta, cheese, fruit, dessert, wine, and coffee for a cost of 25 euros. The proceeds will be allocated to the preservation of the monumental crucifix, created in 1598 by the carver G. Battista Lancino, which is currently facing stability issues.
This initiative represents one of the first actions to raise the necessary funds to ensure both a conservative and aesthetic restoration of this work of art. The Alpini are highly motivated to preserve this important cultural heritage and invite the community to actively participate in the event to contribute to the cause.
