Brescia Symphony Performs Tchaikovsky and Beethoven at Valeggio Summer Event

The Brescia Symphony Orchestra was invited to perform as part of the 2000 Summer Season in Valeggio sul Mincio, organized by the Pro Loco.

Event Details

This evening at 9 PM at Piazza Carlo Alberto, the Orchestra will take to the stage, led by its resident conductor Riccardo Frizza, to perform a challenging program that features the solo performance of pianist Cristiano Burato.

The entire first half of the evening is dedicated to the magnificent Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor Op. 23 by Tchaikovsky. After the intermission, Frizza will lead the Brescia Symphony through the depths of Beethoven’s genius in the Fifth Symphony in C minor Op. 67.

History and Future Appearances

The orchestra, founded in 1989, has been supported by the Fondazione Egmont since 1994 and is led by the twenty-nine-year-old Brescia-born Riccardo Frizza.

On September 1, Frizza will attend the Stresa Musical Weeks with the Varna Philharmonic Orchestra (Bulgaria) for a «Verdi Gala» featuring soprano Tiziana Fabbricini.

Later, in Fano, he will accompany tenor Diego Flore.
