Brescia Tightens Security for Celebrations as Illegal Fireworks Seized

In 14 recent operations across the province of Brescia, the Guardia di Finanza seized more than 2.8 tonnes of illegal fireworks that did not meet required safety standards. The seizures were part of an intensified control plan promoted by the Prefecture to ensure safety during year-end celebrations.

About 1.1 tonnes were held by commercial outlets in unsafe conditions, over 500 kg came from private individuals and nearly 400 kg were artisanal and untraceable; the net explosive content exceeded 700 kg. The operations resulted in 14 people being reported to prosecutors and one arrest.
